Activated carbon made from coconut shells has an exceptionally high micropore density, which means it can absorb more contaminants per gram. Activated carbon blocks that are made from 100% coconut shells are higher in quality than conventional activated carbon blocks from mass production in China.
Carbon blocks made from coconut shells are free from chemical additives or binders. Low-cost activated carbon blocks from China contain additives and binders, which could have a problematic effect on your drinking water.
