Features of the Accessibly app
When the Accessibly app is installed on a site, the website can be adjusted for keyboard navigation using the Tab key (WCAG 2.1/2.1.1). Also see the list of all features and tools provided by the Accessibly app for a better website experience:
Zoom | WCAG 2.1 / 1.4.4
This feature allows users to increase the text size to three times the original text to improve readability.
Larger cursor
Makes the cursor larger and more prominent. Increases its size for better browsing on the site.
Invert colors
Inverts the colors of the website content. For people with low vision, the high contrast helps a lot with reading the site better.
Optimize contrast | WCAG 2.1 / 1.4.6
This feature allows users to manually choose between two options: increase the website contrast or decrease the contrast.
Optimize brightness | WCAG 2.1 / 1.4.6
This feature allows users to adjust the brightness on the site. The content can be made lighter or darker.
Grayscale | WCAG 2.1 / 1.4.6
Users can enable grayscale, so the website content is displayed only in shades of gray. This benefits people with visual impairments.
Reading line
Add a helpful reading line to the site.
Readable fonts
Convert the fonts available on the site to one of the most readable fonts: Helvetica.
Alt text and images
Ability to read image alt text. From now on, our tool has added a feature that generates alt descriptions for images without them using Google Vision AI. If you have not written these image descriptions yourself manually, this makes browsing your site much easier for people with visual impairments.
Tooltips | WCAG 2.1 / 2.5.3
Add labels to images that include a written description of the image.
Highlight links
Highlight links to make them stand out.
Hide images
Hide images on the website. This improves the readability of the website for people with visual impairments.
Read page aloud
A feature that allows a voice to read the text on your website to visitors.
