The  CARBON block is "environmentally friendly" manufactured. It filters very fine particles from drinking water such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

The filter is used for drinking water filtration and is also used in treatment systems; it has a high flow rate and produces very clean drinking water.

Giardia and Cryptosporidium are two of the world's most common causes of an intestinal parasitic infection.

Giardia is a diarrheal disease caused by a single-celled, microscopic parasite, Giardia intestinalis (also known as Giardia lamblia). As soon as an animal or person becomes infected with Giardia intestinalis, the parasite continues to live in the intestines. Because the parasite is protected by an outer layer, it can survive outside the body and in the environment for a longer period of time.

Coconut shell activated carbon has an exceptionally high micropore density, which means that it can absorb more contaminants per gram. Activated carbon blocks that are made from 100% coconut shells are of higher quality than conventional activated carbon blocks from mass production in China.
