The Pb SD 1 Micron CARBON block is "environmentally friendly" manufactured and filters very fine particles from drinking water, including heavy metal reduction (Pb) of nickel, cadmium, zinc, and lead.

The concentrations of heavy metals are usually in the Pb range. In water, these occur as cations such as: Ni2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, and Pb2+

Heavy metal reduction (Pb) reduces soluble heavy metal content. The fine particle filtration is used to capture lead-containing particles.

Coconut shell activated carbon has an exceptionally high micropore density, which means it can absorb more contaminants per gram. Activated carbon blocks made from 100% coconut shells are of higher quality than conventional activated carbon blocks from mass production in China.
