PFAS Armor 20 BIG SX 1 µm KIT with Filter Cartridge – NSF Certified

What are PFAS?
PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a group of industrial chemicals that have been used for decades in products such as Teflon pans, outdoor clothing, firefighting foams, and packaging due to their water-, grease-, and dirt-repellent properties. They are also referred to as "forever chemicals" because they are extremely persistent in the environment and hardly break down.

How can PFAS be removed from drinking water?

  1. Choose suitable filtration systems:

    • Normal activated carbon filters remove mostly only a few long-chain PFAS compounds (e.g., PFOA, PFOS).

  2. Use certified filters:

    • Pay attention toNSF/ANSI 53 Certifications – specially designed for PFAS reduction. Our PFAS Armor filter cartridges from Atlas Filtri meet these requirements!

    • PFOA+PFOS reduction capacity tested with 1.5 µg/l in the influent water – Reduction of at least 95% . Thus meets the PFAS reduction criteria according to the NSF/ANSI 53–2021 test protocol.

  3. Change filter regularly:

    • An overloaded or outdated filter can become ineffective or even release contaminants again.

    • Please be sure to adhere to the replacement intervals recommended by the manufacturer.

As persistent pollutants, PFAS give rise to significant environmental and health concerns. Therefore, they must be reliably removed from the water.
The PFAS Armor filter cartridge was specially designed to filter PFOA and PFOS from water. Additionally, chlorine, taste, odor, and other chemical residues are reliably removed.
