PFEX 20 SX IRON REMOVER - Iron Filter Cartridge is filled with filtering media to reduce the iron concentration in water

The iron filter cartridge reduces iron concentration, lowers the hydrogen sulfide content, metallic taste, and odor of the water.

An iron water filter is used to remove iron and manganese content from the water. These impurities can be present in some water supply systems and can cause various problems such as water discoloration, deposits in pipes and appliances, as well as an unpleasant taste or odor of the water. The immediate consequence of high iron content in water is the formation of rust stains on sanitary facilities (bathtubs, sinks).

The filter cartridge is filled with a mixture of pyrolusite and variously grained quartz sand granules.

The dissolved FE² in the water is converted to FE³ and removed from the water. The iron filter uses hydrogen sulfide to oxidize Fe² to Fe³.

Reduction of:
Iron up to a maximum value of 4.0 mg/l applicable
Manganese up to a maximum value of 0.1 mg/l applicable
Sulfite (up to 0.9 mg/l)
Oxide (up to 4.0 mg/l)
Chloride (up to 4.8 mg/l)
Silicates (up to 35.0 mg/l)

The iron filter helps normalize the pH value of the water.

- Iron ion treatment
- Odor impairments and fine particles
- the filter also removes light oils

To extend the lifespan, it is recommended to install a sediment cartridge from the FA or FAG series before the iron filter cartridge.

The iron filter cartridge for reducing iron concentration

- Iron ion treatment
- Odor impairments and fine particles
- the filter also removes light oils
- Lifespan: approx. 6 months or approx. 3,000 liters (depending on iron (max. 4 mg/l) and manganese values (max. 0.1 mg/l) and flow rate)
- Maximum temperature: up to 45 °C
- Recommended flow rate at approx. 3 bar / 1000l/h.

!With the iron filter cartridges, it may happen that granule dust initially escapes due to transport. Let the water run until it is clear. If necessary, only use subsequent filters afterwards!

PLEASE OBSERVE THE MAXIMUM VALUES. IF NECESSARY, CONDUCT A WATER ANALYSIS!

Test drops to determine the iron content in water (optional - item no.: 8056300922834)
