QA PRL 20 BIG SX TS - Iron filter cartridge lowers the iron concentration in water

The QA PRL 20 BIG SX TS is filled with two filter media that reduce the iron concentration (dissolved and solid) in the water, eliminate hydrogen sulfide, the metallic taste and odor of the water and normalize the pH value of the water.

An iron water filter is used to remove iron and manganese content from the water. These contaminants can be found in some water supply systems and can cause various problems such as discoloration of the water, deposits in pipes and appliances, and an unpleasant taste or odor in the water. The direct consequence of too high an iron content in the water is the formation of rusty edges on sanitary facilities (bathtubs, sinks).

The filter cartridge is filled with a mixture of pyrolusite and differently grained quartz sand granules.
The second layer of the filter (cleaning) is made of polypropylene fleece and cleans the water from solid impurities larger than 10 mcr.
