QA PRL 20 BIG SX TS - Iron filter cartridge reduces iron concentration in water

The QA PRL 20 BIG SX TS is filled with two filter media that reduce the iron concentration (dissolved and solid) in the water, eliminate hydrogen sulfide, the metallic taste, and the odor of the water, and also normalize the pH value of the water.

An iron water filter is used to remove iron and manganese content from the water. These impurities can occur in some water supply systems and can cause various problems, such as discoloration of the water, deposits in pipes and appliances, as well as an unpleasant taste or odor of the water. The immediate consequence of a high iron content in the water is the formation of rust stains on sanitary fixtures (bathtubs, sinks).

The filter cartridge is filled with a mixture of pyrolusite and granulated quartz sand of varying grain sizes.
The second layer of the filter (cleaning) consists of polypropylene fleece and cleans the water of solid impurities from a size of 10 microns.
