QA PRL 20 BIG SX TS - Iron filter cartridge reduces the iron concentration in the water

The QA PRL 20 BIG SX TS is filled with two filter media that reduce the iron concentration (dissolved and particulate) in the water, eliminate hydrogen sulfide, metallic taste and odors, and help normalize the water's pH value.

An iron water filter is used to remove iron and manganese from the water. These contaminants can occur in some water supply systems and can cause various problems, such as discoloration of the water, deposits in pipes and appliances, and an unpleasant taste or odor. The immediate consequence of too high an iron content in the water is the formation of rust stains on sanitary fixtures (bathtubs, sinks).

The filter cartridge is filled with a mixture of pyrolusite and quartz sand granules of varying grain sizes.
The second layer of the filter (cleaning) consists of polypropylene fleece and cleans the water from solid contaminants down to a size of 10 µm.

Maximum temperature: up to 45 °C
Service life: approx. 3 - 6 months or approx. 18,000 liters (depending on water quality and flow rate - max. 3 mg/L Fe² and 0.1 mg/L manganese)
