This replacement filter set consists of:

1x PFEX Iron iron filter

1x PCB activated carbon block

2x O1 - O-ring for filter housing DP HYDRA

PFEX 10 SX IRON REMOVER - iron filter cartridge is filled with filtering media to reduce the iron concentration in the water.

- Maximum temperature: up to 45 °C
- Service life: approx. 3 - 6 months (depending on water quality and flow rate - max. 4 mg/L FE² and 0.1 mg/l manganese)

The iron filter cartridge lowers the iron concentration, reduces the hydrogen sulfide content, the metallic taste, and the odor of the water.

It is used to remove iron and manganese from the water. These contaminants can occur in some water supply systems and can cause various problems, such as discoloration of the water, deposits in pipes and appliances, as well as an unpleasant taste or odor in the water. The immediate result of too high an iron content in the water is the formation of rust stains on sanitary fixtures (bathtubs, sinks). The filter cartridge is filled with a mixture of pyrolusite and quartz sand granulate of varying grain size.

The FE² dissolved in the water is converted to FE³ and removed from the water. The iron filter uses hydrogen sulfide, oxidizing Fe² to Fe³.

The PCB-EC carbon block activated carbon filter with 10 µm fineness consists of compressed activated carbon and filters contaminants from the water such as chlorine, organic contaminants, light hydrocarbons, solvents, pesticides, insecticides, oils and aromas, taste impairments, odor impairments, fine particles (rust, lime flakes, sand, flakes) and suspended matter.
