The iron water filter cartridge is filled with filter media to regulate the reduction of iron concentration in the water.

The iron filter cartridge lowers the iron concentration, reduces the hydrogen sulfide content, the metallic taste and the odor of the water.

An iron water filter is used to remove iron and manganese content from the water. These contaminants can be found in some water supply systems and can cause various problems such as discoloration of the water, deposits in pipes and appliances, and an unpleasant taste or odor in the water. The direct consequence of too high an iron content in the water is the formation of rusty edges on sanitary facilities (bathtubs, sinks).

The filter cartridge is filled with a mixture of pyrolusite and differently grained quartz sand granules.

The FE² dissolved in the water is converted into FE³ and removed from the water. The iron filter uses hydrogen sulfide in which Fe² is oxidized to Fe³.

Oxide (up to 4.0mg/l)

The iron filter helps normalize the pH value of the water.

To extend the service life, it is recommended to install a sediment cartridge from the FA or FAG series in front of the iron filter cartridge.

!With the iron filter cartridges, it can happen that granulate dust initially escapes, which is caused by transport. Let the water run until the water is clear. If applicable. Only use the following filters afterwards!
