The powerful 3-stage filter housing provides reliable and long-lasting water treatment. The system combines advanced filtration technologies for clean, odorless and tasteless water – ideal for drinking, well and household water applications.

The iron filter cartridge reduces iron concentration, hydrogen sulfide content, metallic taste and odor of the water and helps normalize the water's pH. The filter works by oxidizing ferrous iron (Fe²) to ferric iron (Fe³) using hydrogen sulfide removal.

The activated carbon filter is made of compressed activated carbon and filters contaminants from the water such as chlorine, organic pollutants, light hydrocarbons, solvents, pesticides, insecticides, oils and flavors, taste impairments, odor impairments, fine particles and suspended solids.

Water with too high an iron content is a primary cause of wear in industrial plants and household appliances due to deposits known as "scale". Iron salts damage textiles washed in such water and can irritate the skin. Furthermore, excessive iron in water leads to the formation of rust stains on sanitary fixtures.

The innovative backwash system with spring-mounted filter cartridge. When the drain valve is opened, the pressure drop pulls the cartridge downward and cleans it internally. A minimum pressure of 1.8 bar is required to ensure backwashing.

Lifespan: approx. 6 months or approx. 3,000 ltr. (depending on iron (max. 4 mg/l) and manganese levels (max. 0.1 mg/l) and the flow rate)

Note: With PFEX de-ironing filters, granular dust may initially be released due to transport. Let the water run until it is clear. Please also observe the maximum values. If necessary, perform a water analysis before installing the filter to determine the water's iron concentration.
