PFEX 10 SX IRON REMOVER - Iron filter cartridge is filled with filtering media to reduce the iron concentration to a maximum of 4mg/l in water.

The iron filter cartridge reduces the iron concentration, decreases the hydrogen sulfide content, the metallic taste, and the odor of the water.

This is used to remove iron and manganese content from the water. These contaminants can occur in some water supply systems and can cause various problems, such as discoloration of the water, deposits in pipes and appliances, as well as an unpleasant taste or smell of the water. The immediate consequence of a high iron content in the water is the formation of rust stains on sanitary facilities (bathtubs, sinks). The filter cartridge is filled with a mixture of pyrolusite and differently sized quartz sand granulate.

The dissolved Fe² in water is converted to Fe³, which is removed from the water. The iron filter uses hydrogen sulfide to oxidize Fe² to Fe³.

The PCB-EC carbon block activated carbon filter with 10 µm fineness is made of pressed activated carbon and filters out contaminants from the water such as chlorine, organic pollutants, light hydrocarbons, solvents, pesticides, insecticides, oils and flavors, taste impairments, odor impairments, fine particles (rust, lime flakes, sand, scales) and suspended matter.
