Coconut shell activated carbon has an exceptionally high microporosity density, which means it can absorb more contaminants per gram. Activated carbon blocks that are made from 100% coconut shells are of higher quality than conventional activated carbon blocks from mass production in China.
Carbon blocks made from coconut shells are free from chemical additives or binders. Inexpensive activated carbon blocks from China contain additives and binders that could have a problematic effect on your drinking water.
